Crispy Cajun Potato Wedges (Whole30)

Made with air fryer technology, these cajun potato wedges are the crispiest around. Completely whole30, sugar free, vegan and gluten free, they'll satisfy everyone's taste buds and dietary restrictions. Perfect as is or great with a little extra heat (hot sauce) added in too!

This post was created in partnership with Ninja and I received a complimentary product but all opinions within are my own.

These potato wedge fries get their insane crisp through my new favorite kitchen appliance - the Ninja Foodi! The Ninja Foodi can do so many things - air crisp, pressure cook, slow cook, saute and more. When I first got it, I was still skeptical so I held on to all my separate appliances until I was really sure. I’ll be honest, one use of each feature and I was sold. (I even convinced my friends to add it to their wedding registry!) We gifted away our other small appliances and now have just the Foodi to cover all of those needs. Living in a one-bedroom apartment in Chicago, it saves us a ton of counter and cabinet space. For that, I’m extra thankful.

We used the pressure cooker technology first and loved it, but soon fell in love with the air fryer features. If you know me, you know I’m a big french fry kinda gal so being able to create a truly CRISP fry is heaven for me. The recipe below is one of the first I made with it and I’ll say, it’s still one of my favorites. I truly love cajun seasoning on fries. I like a little extra heat too, hence the hot sauce addition, but if you aren’t as big of a fan, you can cut the amount down. It will still be delicious!

These wedge fries are not only insanely flavorful, they are also completely sugar free, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, paleo and whole30. Basically, I wanted to make sure that anybody, everybody and their mothers would be able to eat and enjoy them. Which, I swear, they will. Please try out this recipe and let me know what you think! Oh and while you’re at it, let me know below:

  • What are your favorite fry seasonings/flavors?

  • Do you have a Ninja Foodi yet? If so, are you as obsessed as I am?

Aside from playing around on my own, I’ve found a ton of recipes online that have let me try out and fall in love with all the features of the Ninja Foodi. Here are some of the other paleo and gluten free recipes I’ve tried and LOVED:

Cashew Chicken from Whole Kitchen Sink - This uses the saute and pressure cooker feature. One of my absolute favorite recipes to make in general.

Easy Air Fryer Gnocchi from PaleOMG - I followed the instructions for the pesto flavor. SO good.

Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets from Thyme and Joy - I can’t even begin to tell you how pleased I was to eat truly crispy paleo chicken nuggets. DREAM.
